Our Bylaws and Membership Guidelines:

Membership:

  • Open to women business owners in Minnesota
  • Only one profession or trade represented per member (full or part time)
  • Membership is limited to one member per company

Meetings:

  • 90 minutes (see agenda)
  • Your presence for each meeting is crucial to your success and that of the group

Attendance Responsibility:

  • Notify Director prior to meeting of absences
  • Be on time, stay for the entire meeting
  • Meetings are held 11 times per year and alternate as follows:
    • Even Months - Evening Networking on the third Wednesday of the month from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
    • Odd Months - Afternoon Roundtable Discussion on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm
    • There is no meeting in December
  • Membership may be revoked with no refund after non attendance of 3 consecutive meetings(without prior notice)

Obligations:

  • Actively make referrals of other member businesses
  • Follow-up timely on referrals received, deliver promised quality and pricing
  • Maintain high standards of integrity in business conduct

Metro-Venture has developed this group to foster and develop the business growth of member companies. The intent is to foster business and personal development of members through mutual support and educational opportunities; realizing that the only path to success is through the activities of each individual member, and at the individual pace of each.

Executive Committee:

-> Made up of 3 members, including the Regional Director,  Assistant Director and Events Coordinator.

-> Responsible for planning monthly events

-> Responsible for planning and execution of 2 vendor events annually

-> In charge of timely communications and welcoming new members and representation of the group in the community
